For 2 years prior to my current role, I worked from home and was a remote worker while the rest of my team was in the office. But never before have we had companies telecommute on such a broad scale. Social isolation is also a legitimate thing when working from home. I know we are supposed to be social distancing right now, but here are some work from home tips that I learned and things to do to cope with social isolation while working.
At the beginning of the year, I wrote about my 2019 goals and resolutions. Due to the surprising response that I have received on that blog post, I decided to write a follow-up, 5 things I will leave in the past.
As I continue to focus and grow, I have identified 5 things that I need to work on leaving in 2018. For me to be successful, these are things that have prevented me from taking the necessary steps to achieving my dreams. I have struggled with each one and hope to do less of each in 2019.

2018 was a roller coaster year. Personally, a lot of great things happened. We went to our first Brewers On-Deck and my son got an autograph and a picture taken with his favorite Brewers baseball player, Orlando Arcia. He was in heaven, and it was such a great experience to enjoy as a family. We went to Disney World as a family. It was my wife’s and sons’ first trip there. I was last there when I was a kid. It was such a magical time. There were so many memories that were made during that one week trip. We witnessed our son grow academically in his first full day school year, which was incredible to see. We also got really involved in the school which made the experience that much better.

My son recently completed his first year of Little League Baseball and I was fortunate to assist in coaching the team. As I look back on a successful season for my season, I can’t help but think of things that he learned that he can take with him throughout life.
